Psalm 139:13

The other night, I was praying over my husband. He was so burdened and couldn’t pinpoint what the issue really was. He suffered for weeks with these fleeting feelings that just wouldn’t stay gone. I felt like God really wanted me to pray over him, so I did.

During this prayer, I wanted to make sure the Holy Spirit was speaking for me, so I took my time and just basked in His presence. I let Him lead my words.

As I continued into the Throne Room of God, He gave me the most beautiful depiction. Psalm 139:13 came to mind: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (NIV). I prayed this over Ryan, but one word in particular stuck out: knit.

I’ve always admired the art of knitting. It’s so complex and very time consuming. But, in the end, you’re left with a beautiful, one of a kind masterpiece. It takes a lot of practice and long hours for, what I consider to be, a labor of love. Mass production of  knit items are completely possible, but nothing can compare to the effort put into something handmade.

Ladies, our Father knit us together. It didn’t say he just *poofed* us into existence. He took his time. He made us complex. We are His labor of love.

If you have put your worth in anyone or anything else, you will never know your true value. God has been writing a love story to you since before you were even born. He wants you to know how much you mean to Him.

Rest in knowing that He loves you more than any human ever could. The one true King claimed you as His. Princess, you are His beloved daughter!
