Encountering Ruach

Have you ever felt Jesus’ intimate presence? His breath? Pause, dear sister, just for a moment. Allow yourself to sense His gentle beckoning, guiding you towards your unique purpose.

“Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

John 20:21

When we invite Jesus to dwell within our hearts, the breath of God descends upon us like a refreshing spring breeze, and the mighty Holy Spirit is welcomed into the depths of our being. In that sacred instant, the Heavens part as angels sing triumphant hymns. Jesus adorns your head with a crown. With pride in God’s eyes, He proclaims, ‘Behold, a new daughter, embraced into My royal priesthood. You are forgiven. Now, venture into the world with your new identity and purpose.’

Our purpose is to embody the compassion and action of Jesus. Just as God dispatched His son to bear witness and perform miracles, now Jeus dispatches us with His authority. As we step away from our tainted and sin-laden past, we begin to perceive and encounter the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We start to discern His signs and wonders all around us. Then, unexpectedly, we hear His voice whispering… ‘Go, speak to that person; I desire to use you to deliver a message.’ Immersed in His love and eager to hear Him again, we respond in obedience, prophesying His truth over one, then two. ‘Thank you for your obedience, my cherished daughter,’ He whispers tenderly.

The cravings for the things of this world slowly die as we stand in awe of His power, His Majesty. Oh, just to hear His voice so clearly one more time. We chase His love, intoxicated by His mystery, in the sound of shackles shattering on the ground all around us. Falling on our knees, overwhelmed by our humility, our hearts cry, “Why would He use such a frail vessel to perform His miracles?”

Again, with pride in His eyes, He responds, “My power is made perfect in your weakness, sweet daughter. Now go witness and prophesy to my people.”

In this love story, we all find our purpose, sisters. Perfectly lost in His love.
