New Wine

To the weary daughter, the daughter who has been waiting for the answered prayer, the daughter that has been pressing in to break that generational curse.

Oh, beloved, new wine is coming. Rejoice in your weeping.

So many times the devil whispers that there is something that we haven’t done, a prayer we haven’t prayed that is withholding breakthrough in that area that grieves us. I believe the Lord is speaking over His daughters to step away from what seems normal to us in the natural and surrender to the Holy Spirit. I am certain that the Lord is waiting to take us deeper as we take our eyes off of those painful circumstances and lay down in our quiet place. No words, no answers, just liquid prayers washing over our faces.

As we empty our cups in that place, the Holy Spirit is bringing down fresh wine from the throne room of God that will replace in us what was no longer useful for the new season we are being prepared for. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus Christ who sits on the mercy seat desperately desires to bring us a wine perfectly aged by the sounds of the serephim singing “Holy, holy, holy.”

You see, precious daughter, the enemy wants nothing more than to confuse you about how powerful it is to empty every emotion and every thought before the Lord in our weeping. Satan distracts us with nice and pretty things that make us seem happy or feel happy on the surface for a moment. Highlight reels and filters of a plastic reality. “Put on a pretty face and fix your hair. Never let them see you cry…”

In Jesus name, be released from those lies. Be released from a world of masks and pretending to have it all together. Come beautifully undone before the Lord and empty out the stale wine you have kept in your cup in order to appear full before man. Complacent daughter, wake up. Allow yourself to feel that thing you have been avoiding. God is waiting on your empty cup to pour in fresh new wine today.

Rise up, you women who are at ease, And hear my voice; Listen to my word, You complacent daughters. Within a year and a few days You will be troubled, you complacent daughters; For the vintage is ended, And the fruit gathering will not come. Tremble, you women who are at ease; Be troubled, you complacent daughters; Strip, undress, and put sackcloth on your waist, Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine, For the land of my people in which thorns and briars will come up; Indeed, for all the joyful houses and for the jubilant city. For the palace has been neglected, the populated city abandoned. Hill and watch-tower have become caves forever, A delight for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks, Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fertile field, And the fertile field is considered as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness will remain in the fertile field. And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
