Satan wants your strength

Thankfulness is so much more than just a feeling or something we share over a thanksgiving meal. Thankfulness is a quick prayer, a cry to the Lord inviting Him into our minds, an offering to our ABBA Father. Thankfulness sharpens our spiritual weapon of unceasing prayer. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Through that moment of thankfulness our hearts soften, enabling us to find joy in even the darkest moments.

As warrior women of God, it is absolutely vital that we have the strength to fight our daily battles. When we grasp onto a correct view of thankfulness and joy, it is easy to see why Satan is constantly sending his armies to steal those things from us. Satan knows that thankfulness is our battle plan. He knows that plan guides us to joy and that the joy of the Lord is our strength! (Nehemiah 8:10) He needs us to be weak so he can come after our lives, our families, our friends, and anything else he can to keep us from walking in our anointed calling. (2 Corinthians 1:20-22)

When you find yourself stuck and unable to find something to give thanks for, remember the gift that was given to us through Jesus’ bloodshed on the cross. We are so loved that this perfect man would die for us, saving us from a life of torment in hell. This is a gift that no circumstance or situation can take from us! (John 10:28) This gift gives us something to be thankful for regardless of how deep and dark our valleys may be.

When you sit down with friends and family during this season and you share what you are thankful for, I hope you see a room full of warriors. I hope that you hold onto this correct view of thankfulness. Pray without ceasing sisters. Take back the joy that was bought for you through the death of Jesus in all seasons and circumstances.

“Sweet ABBA Father, we thank you for your gifts. We thank you for giving us your son and that through His death we have received eternal life. Through His death we are anointed as your warriors, each having our own unique talents and gifts given to us to share your gospel. The beautiful gospel of peace. Thank you for giving us the power through the Holy Spirit to bring peace wherever we go no matter the situation or circumstances. We are in awe of your love for us God. We lay down our lives for your purpose and plan for us. Today and every day. In Jesus precious holy name we pray, amen.”

May the Lord bless you and keep you this Thanksgiving,

-Worthy Women
